Vinho Verde is only produced in the northwest of Portugal. It is impossible to make it in any other part of the world. This wine characterizes by its lightness and softness, freshness, a slight acidity and is lower in alcohol. It is a wine whose best qualities show when it is still young, unlike the old saying “the older it gets, the better it becomes”.
It is superb in the Summer, it goes well with fish, seafood, white meat and salads.
Tip: from 10 to 12 June the festival will take place at the heart of the city, Avenida Central, the event where you can taste more than 100 different brands from all the sub-regions
Nearly four dozen places of worship, the largest young population and one of the oldest and traditional towns in the country explain a bit of how marriage has become a real industry around here. Early morning before going for a walk along the historic centre of Braga – a total car-free zone – a great breakfast will give us all it takes to be prepared for the coming emotions. There are places to have it everywhere, on this street however, you can have a great early meal, one of those you will remember years later, the kind you’ll keep in your memory and make you smile!
Tip: walking is a great option to get to know the city, rent a bike if your limits are a bit wider – you won’t regret it!
Tip: if the street is empty, I don’t see why it shouldn’t be safe! Your diet will most certainly be in danger if you find the right restaurant on this street named Angel, go figure why! 😀
