A quick tour of Braga

Posting about a place like Braga – brings, so very often, nice surprises, and the best one is how you change as you post – the more you know about your place the more you like it, a new perspective about your surroundings slowly emerges – you start to understand why you love the place so much! 😀

You do your city proud with your words and with your photos. It’s a rare and precious thing to have such a thoughtful, local guide.

When you mentioned loving Braga more the more you think about it and post about it, for some reason I was reminded of Stanley Spencer – I don’t know if he’s well known in Portugal. He turned the village where he was born into a whole universe in his paintings. Here’s a (lengthy) article about him, just to fill in the background http://bit.ly/1dgPM8Z

    All best wishes

So very kind words! I tell you a little secret: I wasn’t born in Braga not even close – In Portugal terms of course (120km away from here) I learned to love it, to love its people – very different from where I come from, much better people if you know what I mean! 😀
