Vinho Verde: a young wine

Vinho Verde is only produced in the northwest of Portugal. It is impossible to make it in any other part of the world.
This wine characterizes by its lightness and softness, freshness, a slight acidity and is lower in alcohol. It is a wine whose best qualities show when it is still young. Unlike the old saying “the older it gets, the better it becomes”.
It is superb in the Summer, it goes well with fish, seafood, white meat and salads.

There’s only one small problem – if you’re sitting while you drink it you’ll have to remember that sooner or later you have to stand up – so … 😀

😀 Is the wine sweet? I’m really new to wine and so far, I can drink the sweet ones without a problem 🙂 (And I always forget that I have to stand up!!) 🙂

Sounds very drinkable, I wonder if I could get it over here.

I don’t want to offend you trying to guess where “over here” is – but that’s really irrelevant for the matter – Portuguese immigrants are everywhere so I would suggest you to try a Portuguese business place – i´m sure it won’t be difficult or a very good wine shop with “strange” wines like this one! Happy hunting – it’s worth it! 😀
